FoldStand Privacy Policy
FoldStand ("the app") is a mirror and selfie camera app for Android developed by Monadot Studio ("we"). This policy explains what information the app uses, where it goes, and how you can control it. The app has no sign-up or login, and we do not operate a server that receives your data. The ads described below are provided by Google, which processes some data so that ads can work.
1. Information processed only on your device
- Camera preview: The camera image is shown on screen as a mirror. The app does not record or save the preview unless you take a photo or video.
- Photos and videos: Photos and videos you take are saved only to your device's shared storage (
Pictures/FoldStandandMovies/FoldStand), where your gallery app can see them. The app does not send them to us or to any server. The app accesses only the files it created itself; for example, it repairs gallery entries of videos that were cut off when the app was closed during recording. - Sound in videos: If you allow the microphone, sound is recorded together with a video, only while you are recording, and is stored only inside that video file. If you do not allow it, videos are recorded without sound. The app does not record audio in the background, create separate audio files, or analyze or recognize speech.
- Settings: Settings such as mirroring, the timer, zoom, and exposure are kept only while the app is running and are not saved to storage. The app stores only the time the last full-screen ad was shown, so that it is not shown too often.
Photos and videos saved to your shared storage may be backed up or shared by your gallery or cloud app according to your own settings for those apps.
2. Ads (Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform)
The app shows a banner ad and occasionally a full-screen ad (for example, when you return from the gallery). According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares your IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), app interactions (such as app launches, taps, and video views), diagnostic information (such as app launch time and hang rate), and device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID), for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. This data is encrypted in transit. Ads do not have access to your camera, microphone, photos, or videos.
In regions where consent is required (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), Google's consent form is shown, and you can change your choice at any time with the ad privacy button in the app.

3. Backups
The app turns off Android's automatic backup for its own data. Photos and videos are not app data; they are stored in your shared storage as described above.
4. Permissions
- Camera: For the mirror preview and for taking photos and videos.
- Microphone (optional): Requested only when you start a video, to record sound into the video. You can turn it off at any time in your device settings; videos are then recorded without sound.
- Internet and network state (added by the ads library): For ads.
- Advertising ID (added by the ads library): Used for ads as described above.
The app does not request location, contacts, or storage permissions.
5. Retention and deletion
- Photos and videos stay on your device until you delete them in your gallery app. They are not deleted when you uninstall the app.
- The app's own small data (the last ad time) is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings.
- Ad-related data follows Google's policies. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
6. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted at this address, and the effective date above will be updated.
